Who is AIS?

Managing and supporting AIS represents a collective effort on the part of dedicated teams from throughout the UC Santa Cruz campus. For some, supporting AIS represents full-time work, for others AIS is a tool they use to support the work of their offices.

The AIS team is comprised of many sub-teams that include functional and technical members. Some teams are collocated in the AIS space in the University Town Center in downtown Santa Cruz. Others work on an as-needed basis on specific aspects of the project or in specific teams.

AIS team members come from Student Affairs, Business and Administrative Services, Information Technology Services, and from the communities we serve. A computing system of this size requires governance and management that balances the security and risk management needs of an enterprise application with the needs for agility and service of the client community. Keeping those needs in balance is the responsibility of all AIS teams.
